This best known gravy preparation from the land of Punjab, is rich, creamy and delicately flavored and tastes best when served with tandoori rotis or naan.
Ingredient List
- 1 packet Sujata Sauce Mix for Butter Chicken
- 12.5 oz. (350g) Chicken
- 1 tbsp. (20g) Butter
- 10 fl. oz. (300ml.) Water
- 7 fl. oz. (200ml.) Milk
Preparation
- Sauté 12.5 oz. (350g) of chicken in 1 tbsp. of butter on a medium flame till it turns golden brown.
- Whisk the entire contents of this packet with 10 fl. oz. (300ml.) water in a bowl to form a smooth mixture. Add this to sautéed chicken and cook until the gravy becomes thick (8-10 minutes).
- Add 7 fl. oz. (200ml) of milk slowly while stirring continuously and cook until the gravy becomes thick (5-6 minutes).
Tips
- This Mix contains oil, salt and spices. Add salt to taste.
