This best known gravy preparation from the land of Punjab, is rich, creamy and delicately flavored and tastes best when served with tandoori rotis or naan.

Ingredient List

  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 packet Sujata Sauce Mix for Butter Chicken
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 12.5 oz. (350g) Chicken
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 1 tbsp. (20g) Butter
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 10 fl. oz. (300ml.) Water
  • Small check mark in a circle icon 7 fl. oz. (200ml.) Milk

Preparation

  1. Sauté 12.5 oz. (350g) of chicken in 1 tbsp. of butter on a medium flame till it turns golden brown.
  2. Whisk the entire contents of this packet with 10 fl. oz. (300ml.) water in a bowl to form a smooth mixture. Add this to sautéed chicken and cook until the gravy becomes thick (8-10 minutes).
  3. Add 7 fl. oz. (200ml) of milk slowly while stirring continuously and cook until the gravy becomes thick (5-6 minutes).

Tips

  • This Mix contains oil, salt and spices. Add salt to taste.
